Biofuels or electric cars, which is more likely to take charge?
What is more likely to happen, a new fuel is are / Or different ways of producing and piston-engined cars are powered by this fuel similar to the way better now or electric cars? Obviously, both are going to happen, but that will take full charge of the automotive industry in the future? This is an opt-in hybrids. If electric cars become over what will happen to the mechanics? And all I've been learning for many years will be like a waste if electric cars become the norm, and I'm really concerned about this.
Electric cars still need changing tires, lubricating jobs, sometimes changing battery drivers etc and still get into fender-bender. Mechanics still have work to do. I would not worry. You simply have to improvise, adapt and overcome as stated in the Marine Corps. 
Edited to add for the poster below was concerned about "toxic heavy metals" in car batteries Electrical: Future of electric car batteries (like the Chevy Volt) will be lithium ion. Lithium is the lightest metal in the periodic table components is not a toxic heavy metal (like lead, used in lead-acid batteries, regular car).
