Is/would geothermal energy be beneficial for the Pacific Northwest? If so, how/ why?
I'm not sure but I found a couple websites and I think they said geothermal energy is already used in the PNW but I need to know how and why it's so convient for the PNW.
Geothermal energy is potentially viable for nearly every part of the world, but the cost of production varies widely.
Areas that have naturally occurring hot springs are indicative of volcanic activity close to the surface.
Ironically, if the geyser called "Old Faithful" was not a tourist attraction on a protected site, it would be an excellent place to construct a geothermal power plant.
